Wheel Life Rally will bring USA FLT sanctioned float racing to The Wick 338 in Southwick, Massachusetts on August 8, anchoring the fifth stop of the circuit's inaugural 2026 season at one of the most storied motocross venues in the country. Athletes will face the track's demanding terrain in expanded competition formats, continuing a season that has steadily built national momentum for the sport.
Why The Wick Is a Different Kind of Test

Soft, shifting motocross dirt is not your average riding surface. The deep soil and natural features force Onewheel riders to rethink body positioning and board control in ways a flat lot or paved trail never will. It's real off-road riding, and it shows who has actually put in the work on technical terrain versus who's just fast on smooth ground.
That difficulty is part of the draw. Wheel Life Rally has built a reputation as a proving ground, not just a meetup.
Onewheel Has a Real Place on the Schedule

The rally runs a multi-format weekend, and Onewheel riders have plenty to compete in:
Onewheel Dirt Track Runs
Obstacle and Balance Courses
Flag Races and Skills Challenges
Jousting and Fun Competitions
Riders chasing speed, technique, or just a creative line all have something to enter. That range is a big part of why attendance keeps climbing.

The Growth Story: One Stop Board Shop and Brian Lindy
A lot of the credit for Onewheel's growth at this event goes to One Stop Board Shop. Owner Brian Lindy sits on the rally council as Onewheel Director, and he's been hands-on since the early days.
"Erwin reached out and asked if we wanted to help build a dedicated off-road platform for riders here in the Northeast," Lindy said. "From there, we doubled Onewheel attendance and expanded to two days of events, and there's still so much more opportunity."
That's not small talk. Doubling attendance and adding a full extra day of events in a region that didn't have a dedicated off-road Onewheel scene a few years ago is real movement, and it's the kind of groundwork that USA FLT wants to see more of across the country.
Built by Riders Who Wanted Something Real

Wheel Life Rally was co-founded by Showtyme and Erwin Greene, who set out to bring the Northeast PEV scene together in a setting that actually challenged people. It started during COVID as a small rider meetup and has grown into one of the region's leading off-road events.
"Riding PEVs definitely has a positive effect on your life," Showtyme said. "Going through personal changes made me realize how important community is, and events like this build that in a real way."
That's the through-line for this event: competition, but backed by people who actually show up for each other.
Why This Matters for Onewheel Riders Specifically

Onewheel racing is still figuring out where its strongholds are outside the usual spots. Events like Wheel Life Rally matter because they prove the format works in a totally different environment, motocross dirt instead of float festival trails, Northeast instead of Texas or the Southeast.
For riders in that region, or anyone willing to make the trip, it's a chance to:
Race on terrain that actually tests technical skill
Connect with a board shop and rider community that's invested in growing the sport
Build relationships with riders from across the Northeast and Canada
Be part of a Onewheel scene that's still early enough to shape
What's Next

From left Sam Varner, Russ Martin, Garrett
With 2026 marking a strong foothold, organizers and partners are already looking at what's next: more spectators, more sponsorship, and more riders making the trip in from outside the region. USA FLT is watching events like this closely. A more connected national circuit needs strongholds like this one, and Wheel Life Rally is proving the Northeast can hold its own.
